Qualifying set for Tignall elections for mayor, council
The Town of Tignall has announced qualifying dates for the November election, when Tignall voters will choose a mayor and fivecouncil members.
Candidates may qualify at the officeof the City Clerk, August 27 through August 31. The officewill be open between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with one hour for lunch from 12 to 1 p.m. Qualifying fees are $35 for the mayor's race, and $25 for city council seats, said Linda Daniel, clerk.
Polling place for the Nov. 6 election is the Old School Lunchroom.
