GSP Post 17 troopers investigate 9 crashes for July in Wilkes Co.

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated nine traffic crashes during the month of July in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Derrick Durden said the traffic accidents resulted in eight injuries. There were no fatalities.

SFC Durden said troopers from Post 17 also issued 87 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes two arrests for driving under the influence; 46 citations for speeding; 16 seat belt violations; and three child restraint violations.

Troopers also issued 158 warnings.
