Phillips Mill Youth Group raises funds through spaghetti supper

Phillips Mill Baptist Church Youth Group participating in the fundraiser supper were (front row, l-r) Lindsey Gowen, Hannah Davis, Rebekah Hubbard, and Tyler Scarborough; (back row) Kasey Gowen, Shelby Gowen, Jacob Hubbard, Cody Gowen, and Daniel Hackney. Helpers not pictured were Austin Hall, Grant Chafin and Caitlin Mann.
The Youth Group of Phillips Mill Baptist Church reported great success with their spaghetti supper held at the church on July 18.

Because of the generosity of Bi- Lo and Ingles donating all the sup- plies needed to prepare the dinner, the group was able to donate 100% of the money raised to The Military Ministry of Campus Crusades to put Rapid Deployment Kits (RDKs) into the hands of our soldiers. Each RDK includes a New Testament, a ninety-day devotional and "How to Know God Personally" booklet.

The Youth Group was excited about the turn out of the church family and community to the supper and, because of this, raised over $700 allowing them to be able to purchase well over 200 RDKs for the troops.
