Ruth Casteel Jones
Memorial services for Ruth Casteel Jones of Cuthbert were held Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Edison. Interment was in the Edison Cemetery. She died Wednesday, August 1, at Patterson Hospital in Cuthbert.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. L.R. Casteel. She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and was a school teacher. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City, Fla.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph E. Jones of Cuthbert; two daughters, Elizabeth J. West of Edison and Marie J. Blanchard of Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Evelyn) Young of Washington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
