Jackson Thornton celebrates birthday with family, friends
On his birthday Jackson had a special visit from his cousins, Fowler and Wells Bolton of Columbia, S.C., along with their grandmother, Mrs. Donna Mixon of Lincolnton. They, together with Jackson's mother and sister Laney, grandmothers, Mrs. Gene Thornton Jr. and Mrs. Bobby Wilson; aunt and cousins, Mrs. Ben Echols, Taylor and Dylan, enjoyed a pizza party with balloons and cupcakes at the Pizza Hut in Washington. An afternoon of swimming was enjoyed at the home of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Thornton Jr. On Saturday afternoon, July 21, Jackson was treated to a pool party at the Washington-Wilkes Country Club. A John Deere tractor theme was used in decorating. Jackson's tractor cake was served after a delicious meal of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. Jackson's young guests received sun visors as party favors.
Helping Jackson celebrate were his parents and sister, Laney; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thornton and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson; greatgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Thornton; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Echols, Dylan and Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. Marc Hammond, Brock and Camden, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hammond, Terry McClain and Sydney, and Mrs. Al Rhodes, Kelsey and Alicia, of Marietta.
