Robert Quinton Graves honored at 87th birthday celebration

Robert Quinton Graves of Augusta was honored on the occasion of his 87th birthday at a luncheon at the Fitzpatrick Hotel Sunday, July 29. His birthday was July 31.
Attending the birthday luncheon and celebration were his brother, Arthur Graves, also his sisterin law Marvelle Graves, both of Washington; niece and husband, Linda and Jimmy Epps of Augusta, nephew and wife, Bobby and Faye Matthews of Lawrenceville, niece, Betty Segassie of Canton and neighbor and friend, Jeanette Brinson of Augusta.
Mr. Graves was born and raised in the Amity Community. He is a veteran of WWII. During his service he crossed the Atlantic Ocean 17 times and saw battle in France and Germany under Generals Eisenhower and Patton. Mr. Graves is an avid gardener and believes the key to longevity is staying busy.
