Carlisle Jane Hearn dedicated in service at Wieuca Rd. Baptist

Carlisle Jane Hearn, six-monthold daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gil Hearn of Dunwoody, was dedicated at the beginning of the morning worship service at Wieuca Road Baptist Church Sunday, July 29. Rev. Michael Tutterow of Atlanta officiated.

Standing with Carlisle and her parents were her sisters, Allie and Elise; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lane of Franklin, N.C., and paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Carlton Hearn of Washington.

Carlisle wore a long handmade christening gown and slip adorned with lace embroidery and delicate tucks. The gown was also worn by her paternal grandmother, Barbara Hoge Hearn, her paternal great-aunt, Jane Carlisle Hoge Henson, her father and her two sisters.

During the dedication, the minister took Carlisle into the congregation and spoke to her about the importance of being a part of a church family. He then took her into the choir loft and talked with her about her parents and their involvement in the music of the church. He asked the congregation to welcome her with "Hello Carlisle" which they promptly did.

Present in addition to her parents, sisters, and grandparents were her great-uncle and great-aunt, Mr. and Mrs. William Henson of Macon.

Following the service all went to Carlisle's home for a luncheon. Joining the family were Mr. and Mrs. Graham Fox and Caroline, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Marsh and Amelia and Mr. and Mrs. David Cooper, Samantha and Preston, of Atlanta.
