Victory Baptist Church plans homecoming Sunday, Aug. 12

Victory Baptist Church on the Newtown Road in Wilkes County will have homecoming Sunday, August 12.

This special service will be followed by revival services beginning Sunday evening and continuing through Wednesday evening, August 12-15.

The homecoming services will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday morning and will be followed by a barbecue dinner with all the trimmings.

Revival services will be at 7:30 p.m. each evening.

The speaker for the homecoming and revival services will be Randy Bray of Asheville, N.C. Mr. Bray's wife was the late Teresa Echols Bray, daughter of James and Martha Echols of Washington-Wilkes. Their sons are David and Cassidy Bray.

The minister is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, and has enjoyed nearly 56 years of life and ministry. After graduating from Bob Jones Academy in 1970, he entered Bob Jones University and graduated from the Institute of Christian Service in 1974.

He earned a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology from Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, N.C., and is presently pursuing a master's degree from the same institution.

Victory Pastor Jimmy Chapman and members of the congregation extend an invitation to anyone interested to attend these and all services of Victory Baptist Church.
