Kirby Wilson gets memorial scholarship
Kirby Wilson, a 2007 honor graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School, has received the $1500 Henry Huffman Memorial Scholarship presented by CH2MHILL OMI. The award was presented by John Scott, project manager of the Washington OMI office.Kirby is the daughter of Neal and Kelly Wilson and will be attending Georgia Southern University to earn a degree in early childhood education. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving college freshman based on the completeness of the scholarship application; the quality of an assigned essay; and the breadth of school involvement and extracurricular activities.
