Megan Smith guest of honor at miscellaneous shower on July 29

The Family Life Center of Tignall Baptist Church was the scene of a miscellaneous bridal shower honoring Megan Smith, bride-elect of Scott Kennedy, on Sunday, July 29.

Hostesses for the happy occasion were Mrs. Graydon Bobo, Mrs. Dale Fincher, Mrs. Josh Fincher, Mrs. Richard Gammon, Mrs. Bud Harrison, Mrs. Troy McTier, Mrs. Larry Pullen and Mrs. Alex Tyler.

For the occasion Miss Smith wore a black pants ensemble and was presented a corsage of yellow mixed flowers with an orange polka dot bow.

Tables were covered with chocolate brown and tangerine organza cloths. A beautiful arrangement of yellow roses, orange lilies, peach Alstroemeria, calcyiana and solidago centered the refreshment table. Guests enjoyed punch with a variety of party foods.

Special guests attending were the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Marty Smith, sister, Macey Smith, grandmothers, Mrs. Bill Smith of Newtown and Mrs. Charles Gosnell of Anderson, S.C., great-grandmother, Mrs. Boyd Bridges of Hartwell and step great-grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn Gosnell of Anderson, S.C.; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. B.C. Kennedy Jr. and grandmother, Mrs. Charles Saggus of Washington. Other guests included members of Tignall Baptist Church.
