Smyrna Methodist Church will host revival services Aug. 19-22

Smyrna United Methodist Church of Washington will have revival services beginning Sunday, August 19, at 7 p.m., and continuing through Wednesday, August 22. A potluck dinner will be available each evening at 6:00.

Rev. Gary Dean, Superintendent of the Augusta District of the United Methodist Church, will bring the messages each evening. There will be a combination of traditional and contemporary music.

Rev. Dean has served the Methodist Church for 24 years and is a strong believer in the importance of servant leadership. He graduated from Wiley College in Texas; attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University; and received his Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta.

According to a spokesman for the church, Rev. Dean is a gifted and dynamic speaker who feels deeply his call to serve Christ at all times and in all places.

Smyrna church is located at 100 S. Smyrna Church Road, fivemiles east of Washington.
