Lois Louise McClure Jones Graveside services for Lois Louise McClure Jones, 80, of Metasville, were held Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery with Ed Goodwin officiating. She died Thursday, August 16, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Jones was a native of Haywood County, North Carolina, and had lived in the Metasville community for 52 years. She was the widow of Hal C. Jones and was the daughter of the late James A. McClure and Eugenia Bolden McClure. She had retired from Essex Manufacturing Company in Washington. Survivors include four sons, Hal C. Jones Jr., James F. Jones and his wife Margaret, and Stephen E. Jones, all of Washington, and Kenneth Jones of Greenville, S.C.; two daughters, Catherine L. Fender of Washington, and Ann J. McAlister and her husband Richard of Elberton; three sisters, Dorothy M. Williams, Asheville, N.C., Ruth M. Ruff, Waynesville, N.C., and Sarah M. Morgan of Tignall; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
