George Mercier

Funeral services for George "Bo" Mercier, 96, were held Saturday, August 18, 2007, in the T.A. McLendon Memorial Chapel of Davenport & McLendon Mortuary Inc., Washington, with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. Interment was in the City West Cemetery. He died Tuesday, August 14, at Candler County Hospital in Metter.

Mr. Mercier was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Mary Kendrick and Henry Egland.

Survivors include eight children, Willie George, Patricia, Vanessa, Paul, John, Joe, Darryl, and Harold; two stepchildren, Ethreen and Tony; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchidren.

Davenport & McLendon Mortuary Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
