Ruby Lillian Cofer Funeral services for Ruby Lillian Cofer, 87, were held Saturday, August 18, 2007, at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Washington. Mrs. Cofer, affectionately known as Gold, was a native of Washington and was the daughter of the late William and Daisy Lane Cohen. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Washington, and was a faithful and devoted member. She served in the Sunday School, the Seven Seal, Women in White, Mother Board, and choir, and was the founder of the annual Family and Friends Day at Cherry Grove. She later became a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Atlanta. She was the widow of Albert Williams and Bennie Cofer. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Albert Lloyd and Sarah Williams; a grandson, Terrance Xavier Williams; two greatgrandchildren; and four sisters, Jeanette Everhart and Naomi Harris of Atlanta, Maggie Simpson and Frances Rucker of Washington.
McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangement.
