Being totally honest
When the reporter came up, Mrs. Carter, being the Southern lady she was, said, "Good to see you!" The reporter let in on her. "Now, Mrs. Carter, would your son tell a lie?" She replied, "Well, no! He's very honest. Always has been." The reporter continued to probe, "Now you mean to tell me that he's never told an untruth?" Mrs. Carter said, "Well, maybe," "but not intentionally." The reporter cut her off, "Oh, so you are admitting he lies?" Mrs. Carter braced herself and said, "Honey, it's like this. Sometimes we say things not intending to tell an untruth like when you walked up and I said, 'Good to see you.'"
Now folks, that's being totally honest! Can you say amen?
