Callaway events celebrated at party August 12

Turner and Dackie Callaway were honored by their children, David and Theresa Blackwell of Jefferson, Matthew and Holly Blackwell of Atlanta, and Jeb Blackwell of Athens, at a party at Harry Bisset's in Athens on the afternoon of August 12.

The party celebrated a variety of events, the Callaway's tenth wedding anniversary, their birthdays, and her retirement from teaching.

The New Orleans-theme restaurant served shrimp and grits, smoked salmon and capers, Andouille sausage, turtle cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake.

A special gift for the couple was a framed picture of them that each guest signed with a special message.

Attending from Washington were Mr. Callaway's mother, Henrietta Callaway, and their friends, Lamont and Cathy Lannae. Other special guests were grandchildren, Andrew Blackwell, Brittany Blackwell, and Teagan Best, all of Jefferson.
