God's Marketplace to distribute food Wednesday, Sept. 5

The CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority Inc. will have a mass food distribution in Wilkes County Wednesday, September 5, at God's Marketplace, 275 East Robert Toombs Avenue, Washington, from 12:30 p.m. until all food is gone.

The distribution will be for lowincome and elderly persons, serving a total of 125 families in Wilkes County. Each family will be provided one bag of food on a first-come, first-served basis.

Persons wishing to receive food must bring a picture identificationand know their household size (number living in home) and the monthly income for the family.

Anyone interested in volunteering to assist with unloading the delivery truck and/or bagging food items is encouraged to arrive on the site at 10:30 a.m. For more information, interested persons should contact Shaundra Dority at 706-738-4874.
