The students received training from May 4 until July 30, 2007, at Wills Memorial Hospital and all students received their officialcertificationcards from the state prior to August 10.

While in training, the students completed clinical rotations at Lake Crossing Health Care (long-term care) and Wills Memorial Hospital (acute care). After successful completion of an approved nursing assistant training course, individuals may be employed anywhere in the state of Georgia that employs nursing assistants.

Walton-Crawford has been the coordinator and primary instructor for her own state certified program since 1995. She was recruited in May 2007 by the Georgia Medical Care Foundation as a Nurse Aide Evaluator.

Plans for the next CNA training course have been tentatively set for October 19-December 15, 2007. Serious inquiries may call 706-825- 4060.
