How about those psychic readers? I was in a motel and it's 4 a.m. and I can't sleep. I turn on the television and click, click, click the remote.

All night television with 40 channels to choose from and I run across a program and I first think it's a Christian program. This elderly woman is saying, "Only believe! Only believe!" Then she would say, "Your mother has cancer. Thank you spirit!. You've got a backache. Thank you spirit! You've got two children. Thank you spirit!" And on and on she went with this one and that one.

Now, I know that God can use some folks to prophesy and He gives some the gift of prophecy, but it is not sorcery or fortune telling or witchcraft. It will be done in decency and in order as God permits; not for sport or as a sideshow and not to be using cheap psychology on feeble-minded folk just for the sake of financial gain. Fill up that offering plate and I will tell you more.

Now the devil has power too. He uses folks to be fortunetellers. God is for real. He's not in the psychic business. Amen!

These modern day commercialized informercial psychic readers are getting rich preying on weakminded people's fears. People are so afraid. They fear everything. They believe in the power of voodoo and witchcraft. They believe in hexing and being hexed. Even some wellmeaning church folks get caught up in all that.

But let me tell you that the powerful Word of God says that the Lord God hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. A sound mind doesn't follow after fortunetellers. Amen! They follow after the voice of God. Glory!

Folks are eaten up with fear. The devil does that to them. If we let him the devil will breed fear in our hearts. We are living in a fearful time. Folks fear making decisions, so they look at their horoscope. They consult the psychic or the fortunetellers. They have their palm read or the tea leaves read or whatever. But if you really want to know what to do then fall on your knees and go to the One who knows it all and He won't lead you wrong.

Anyway, these psychic readers are nothing more than fortunetellers, sorcerers, and soothsayers. Instead of calling 1-900-psychic hotline at $2.99 per minute, folks need to call 1-800-Glory on the royal telephone that beats Sprint's dime a minute, because it's free and you're never put on hold. Can you say amen?
