Brinkley's Chapel Baptist Church will have revival services September 3-7, 7:30 p.m. each evening with Rev. Dante Smith as guest minister for the week. A homecoming service will be held Sunday, September 9, 2 p.m., with Rev. James O. Strowbridge as the speaker.

There will be a Country Cooking Supper at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Saturday, September 8, 6-8 p.m. Cost is $6.00 per plate and all proceeds go to charity.

An account has been established at the Farmers and Merchants Bank to assist Lisa Stroika in covering her medical expenses. Mrs. Stroika is battling an ecoli infection at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and has no insurance coverage. Contributions may be made at the Washington- Wilkes Country Club, P.O. The Washington-Wilkes Band Boosters will meet September 10, 6 p.m., in the band room.

Bethel Under the Blood Deliverance Church of the Living God, Lincolnton, will have a twonight Holy Ghost filled revival September 22-23, 7 p.m., at the Third Shiloh building on McLendon Dr. Evangelist Janice Bynun will be the speaker.

Transforming Life Ministries and Amethyst D. Wynn will celebrate 14 years of ministry in the Washington-Wilkes area on September 16, 3:30 p.m., at the Third Shiloh Center. Guests will be Bishop Jonathan Greer II and the Cathedral of Divine Love Church of Atlanta. Dinner will be served and the public is invited.

Solomon Pool Deliverance Church, Lincolnton, will have inhouse revival services September 11-14, 7:30 p.m. Speakers will be: September 11, E vangelist Shavanne Wylie Ware; September 12, Minister John Paul Norman; September 13, Assistant Pastor Bobbie Norman; September 14, Pastor Alene McCloud.

Christ City of Prayer music department invites choirs, soloists, male choruses, praise and worship leaders and dance teams to celebrate with them on Sunday, September 30, 3:30 p.m. The purpose of the program is to remind the body of Christ how important praise and worship are in the church as well as daily Christian walk. Booker's Chapel Baptist Church Usher Board will have a senior and junior combined usher board program on Sunday, September 9, 4 p.m., with Rev. Larry Norman, pastor of the Flint Hill Baptist Church, Washington, as guest speaker. Several churches are invited. Refreshments will be served.

Solomon Pool Deliverance Church, Lincolnton, will have a service on Friday, September 21, 7:30 p.m., with Minister Willie Joe Ware from New York as the guest speaker. Minister Ware graduated from Lincoln County High School with the Class of 1975.

New Springhill Baptist Church, Philomath, will honor the pastor, Rev. Reginald A. Hunter, and his wife, Veronica Hunter, with a pastor's appreciation service Sunday, October 7, 11:30 a.m. Pastor S.A. Bishop and the new Bethlehem Baptist Church of Lexington will be special guests.

Descendants of Kendall and Elizabath Bass McTier through the Larkin, Solomon, Redrick, Narcissa Johnson, and Synthian Guimarin lines are invited to the annual family reunion September 22, 10 a.m., at the Family Life Center of the First Methodist Church of Thomson. Relatives and friends are asked to bring a covered dish.

Young's Chapel Baptist Church will have pastor appreciation day on September 16, 12 noon. Dinner will be served. Rev. Fred Weems will be guest speaker.

The Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association (LWREA) will meet Thursday, September 13, 11 a.m., at the Lincoln County Library, 181 North Peachtree Street. Remember to bring 2006- 2008 GREA copy of awards and recognition guidelines. All retired educators are invited.

The NAACP is sponsoring a Fifty State Rally Fundraising Program Saturday, September 8, 5 p.m., at the Third Shiloh Building, Washington. Each church family is asked to support this program with a donation of $100 or whatever they can give. Rev. G.L. Avery is president; Rachel Jackson, secretary.

Samaria Temple COGIC will have a musical on September 15 at 4 p.m. The guest choir will be "His Own" of Friendly COGIC, Augusta, and others.
