Joint effort planning improvements for two city playgrounds

The Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department, the Washington Kiwanis Club, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kibbey are developing a plan for renovation and improvement of the city playgrounds in Washington.

The group is seeking input from residents of the Whitehall and Liberty Street areas to be a part of the planning and improvement process for these playground areas.

A community planning meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, September 13, at 9 a.m. at the Washington Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department, 22 Lexington Avenue. Interested citizens are invited to attend.
