Rob Lovvorn honored by achievement academy The United States Achievement Academy has announced that Rob Lovvorn of Washington-Wilkes has been named a United States National Award Winner in the field of Science. The award is a prestigious honor, recognizing fewer than 10 percent of all American high school students. His biographical information will appear in the United States Achievement Academy's OfficialYearbook which is published nationally. "Recognizing and supporting our youth is more important than every before in America's history," said Dr. George Stevens, founder of the U.S. Achievement Academy. The Academy selects winners upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors, and other qualified sponsors and upon the Standards of Selection set forth by the Academy. The criteria for selection are a student's academic performance, interest, and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, citizenship, attitude, and cooperative spirit, dependability, and sponsor recommendation.
Rob is the son of Ed and Lisa Lovvorn of Washington and the grandson of Gordon and Tony Lovvorn of Woodland; and Lawton and Betty Sammons of Cordele.
