RAYLE NEWS Sardis Baptist Church enjoyed having Tommy Harwell as guest speaker Sunday morning. Monica Gunter led in the inspirational singing with Courtney Gunter at the piano. Children's church and the nursery were combined in the annex and were held by Kay Berry and Brooke Berry. Everyone is invited to Sunday School at 10 a.m. and preaching at 11 a.m. every Sunday morning at Sardis. Prayer meeting is held every Wednesday evening at 6:30 at the Echols Home. J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright went to Athens Tuesday and got a good report from Bonnie's doctor. Rev. and Mrs. David Wright have a baby born at a hospital in Augusta on August 25. He has been named Atticus Abraham Dillard-Wright. Rev. Wright is pastor of Rock United Methodist Church. Hunter Armour was honored with a party for his eighth birthday Saturday at "Adventure Crossing" in Augusta by his parents, Greg and Angela Armour. Celebrating with him were Jackson Armour, Garrett Tawzer, Anthony Echols, John David Bailey and J.T. Smith. Clyde and Sandy Whittington entertained with a fishfry for all of Clyde's sisters and brothers Wednesday evening. Coming for this happy occasion were Sadie Simmons of Kings Mountain, N.C.; Margie Rogers, Inez Moore, and Esther Dawson of Washington; Daisy Parker of Tignall; Thomas and Elaine Baker of South Carolina; Calvin and Betty Whittington and Oscar Taylor of Colbert; and Virgil and Emily Whittington of Carlton. Kim Frankel, Zachery, Kyle, and Bryce of Crawford enjoyed the occasion with them. Ruby Arnold visited Brooke Berry Wednesday afternoon. Kim Berry and Aaliya visited Brooke Berry, Kaitlyn and Bryson Saturday afternoon. Spending Sunday with Buck and Linda Echols were Greg and Angela Armour, Samantha, Cody and Hunter, Will Callaway, Scott and Sissy Smith, J.T. and Abby; and Richard and Lou Heard, Mattie and Hank. Brooke Berry, Kaitlyn and Bryson went to Augusta Saturday to attend the birthday party for Jadene Guin. Gail Stewart visited Johnny and Kathryn Shedd Sunday afternoon. Having Sunday dinner with Tim and Gail and Alyssa were Leeman Stewart and Paul and Hannah Wright and Ava. Bonnie Boatwright visited Lamar and Kay Berry Saturday. Trey Berry was home for the weekend from the University of Georgia. Brooke Berry, Kaitlyn and Bryson were also there. Zachery and Kyle Frankel spent Saturday night with their grandparents, Clyde and Sandy Whittington. Sudie Kennedy is doing nicely at her home after a stay in Wills Memorial Hospital. She has had many phone callas and visits and appreciates all of them. Bill and Hope Remsen and Delaney of Evans spent Sunday with Peggy Echols and Johnny Adams. Ann Wideman visited Sandy Winfrey and Gene and Betty Winfrey during the week. Gene Winfrey visited George and Ann Wideman one day. James, David, and Mathew Wideman visited George and Ann over the weekend. Ruth Flynt enjoyed having Gloria Hardy visit her Sunday afternoon.
