Chloé and Owen Roy celebrate birthdays with family, friends
Chloé was seven years old on Augusta 29 and Owen's fourth birthday was August 28. Chloé and Owen celebrated with friends and family at their home in Evans on Saturday, August 25. Chloé was treated to a Tinkerbelle theme party while Owen enjoyed a Spiderman theme celebration. Chloé and Owen enjoyed a homemade strawberry layer cake with cream white icing and colorful sprinkles made especially for the occasion by their grandmother, Mrs. Marilyn LePore of Washington. Guests enjoyed making their own ice cream sundaes with all the toppings along with cake, sweet tea, ice water and CapriSun juice drinks for the children. The house and yard were decorated with colorful balloons, ribbons, big beach balls and banners celebrating the occasion. Guests relaxed at picnic tables with colorful chairs and umbrellas decorated with balloons and ribbons in the backyard. Children enjoyed swimming, playing on the swing set, jumping on the trampoline and playing birthday games. Goody bags were given as favors. Celebrating with Chloé and Owen and their parents were their grandparents, Mrs. Marilyn LePore of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. C. Roy, of Grovetown; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Mills of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnson, Tanner, Macey and Conner, Gwen Zumbro and Kole, Mrs. Maurin Livingston, Haylie and Kevin, Donovan Williams, Taukeisha and Chloé Bellamy, Mrs. Connie Curry, Mark and Christopher, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Calderon and Alexis, Preetam Jain, and Lauren and Taylor Davis of Evans, Rick Bannister, Sara and John Daniel, Caleb Stubblefield, and Mrs. Rhonda Martinez, Sarah and Sophia, of Augusta. On his birthday Owen received a special birthday call from his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Marilyn LePore of Washington, and celebrated by singing songs and playing games with his Pre-K friends at Bel Air Elementary School in Evans where he gave each student a goody bag. Owen also enjoyed spending time with his mother who surprised him by joining him for lunch at school. At home that evening Owen enjoyed opening some more birthday gifts and cards along with a birthday dinner of rotisserie chicken, red beans and rice, salad and sweet tea with ice cream for dessert. On her birthday Chloé also received a special birthday call from her maternal grandmother, Mrs. LePore, and celebrated with her second grade friends at Bel Air Elementary School where she gave each student a goody bag. Chloé also enjoyed spending time with her mother who surprised her by joining her for lunch at school. At home that afternoon she enjoyed opening some more birthday gifts and cards before going to church. On Wednesday evening, August 29, Chloé and Owen celebrated with their friends at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church in Evans. Everyone enjoyed a delicious "Wonderful Wednesdays" dinner of Italian open-faced sandwiches, marinated green beans, rotini pasta salad, sweet pears and peach crostadas with sweet tea. Afterward the children enjoyed singing songs, playing games and making crafts.
