New Beginnings

Lillian Grace Christopher

Susan and Michael Christopher of Watkinsville announce the birth of their daughter, Lillian Grace, on Thursday, August 23, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Lillian weighed 7 lbs. 6 ozs. and was 20 ½ inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Gerry and Stephanie Andrews Bales of Watkinsville, formerly of Washington. Maternal great-grandparents are the late Dell Andrews of Washington, Roy and Kathy Andrews of Gulf Breeze, Fla., the late Barbara Lloyd Bales, and Thomas and Linda Bales of Washington.

Paternal grandparents are Cheryl Christopher of Bogart and Mike and Jan Christopher of Watkinsville. Paternal great-grandparents are William and Yvonne Christopher of Watkinsville, Dan and Delores Deaton of Bogart, and Bobby Tucker of Winterville.

Mrs. Christopher is the former Susan Bales of Watkinsville.

Findlay Carter Griggs

Noelle and Jon Griggs of Fort Worth, Tex., announce the birth of their son, Findlay Carter, on Monday, September 3, at their home in Fort Worth. Findlay, as he will be called, weighed 9 lbs. 11 ozs., and was 21 ¼ inches long. He has two sisters, Brennah, age six, and Maggie, age 3.

Maternal grandparents are Debbie and Jim Sutton of Fort Worth, Tex. Maternal great-grandparents are Pat and Jerry Tippins of Washington.

Paternal grandparents are Linda and Jim Griggs of Washington. Sara Curtis, also of Washington, is the paternal great-grandmother.

Mrs. Griggs is the former Noelle Sutton of Washington.

The Griggs family will soon be Washington residents as they will be moving from Fort Worth in mid- September.

Tyler Jackson Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Smith of Washington announce the birth of their son, Tyler Jackson, on Thursday, August 2, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens. Jackson, as he will be called, weighed 7 lbs. 2 ozs. and was 21 ½ inches long. He has a brother, Chase, who is 15 months old.

Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kirkland of Washington. Maternal great-grandparents are Mrs. Rua Bell Davis, the late Ray Davis, Mrs. Joyce Evans, the late John Evans and the late Henry Kirkland, all of Washington.

Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Smith of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Ivestor of Gastonia, S.C. Mrs. Avadale Smith of Washington is the paternal greatgrandmother.

Mrs. Smith is the former Amanda Kirkland of Washington.
