Mrs. Sara Elise Walton honored at Anthony's Chapel August 19

Mrs. Sara Elise Walton

Mrs. Sara Elise Walton was honored on Sunday, August 19, at the Anthony's Chapel Homecoming Celebration as being the oldest living member at the age of 95.

Mrs. Walton was born Sara Elise Matthews on December 18, l911, in Lincoln County.

In honor of the occasion Mrs. Walton was presented a lovely corsage of pink carnations. In addition she was given a silver jewelry box for serving her church as Sunday school teacher and in many other ways over the years.

Mrs. Walton's immediate family members attending were her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Terry Crocker and Linda and Marshall Garrett; grandchildren and great-grandchildren and families, Marcie, Earl and Garrett Tawzer, Chad and Gavin Garrett, and Sherry and Glenn Phillips.

Mrs. Walton is a resident at Wilkes Health Care.
