Friends of Library to meet Oct. 11 in meeting room

The Friends of the Mary Willis Library will meet at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, in the meeting room of the library.

The program will be presented by Debbie Wells, who will give an update on the new art gallery on The Square.

Other business of the meeting will include an update on the highly successful summer reading program, "Reading Takes You Everywhere," and the introduction of the newest member of the library staff, Jim Veatch. Jim has moved from New Mexico to Washington and brings 30 years of library experience in cataloguing.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and refreshments will be served. Anyone who wishes to join the Friends of the Library may do so at the October meeting or send dues to Oliver Myers, treasurer, at P.O. Box 901, Washington 30673.

Dues are $10 for individuals; $15 for family; $25 for Good Friend; and $50 for Best Friend.
