'Washington Follies' to bring singers, performers to stage Opening the show, "The Washington Follies," October 5, 6, and 7 at The Little Theater Playhouse will be the delightful "Primary Performers." A group of young singers from the second and third grades of the Washington Primary School, the group is directed by Ann Tiller. The group sings at the school and at various places in the community. This will be their first appearance at the Little Theater. Others singing in the show are Dr. Erick Pagan, Shay Harris, Darren Pharr, Michael Moore, Debbie McLeod, Kay Nelms, and Rick Price. Advanced dancers from the Washington Dance Academy will perform and a Bluegrass group (yet to be named) will do some "pickin' and singin.'" Dr. Stan Coe, Ian Coe, Emory Ware, Skip Padgett, and others comprise this group. The Methodist Men's Ensemble will entertain the audience with their close harmony renditions. In this group are Tommy Wells, Darren Pharr, Michael Moore, Skeet Willingham, George Brooke, Bruce Holes, and Rich Siebert. They are directed by Shay Harris and accompanied by Janet Pharr. Young fiddlers, Mason and Ethan Jones, will be showing off their skills and the Personality Parade will introduce the audience to some celebrity look-alikes. Sherri Bowers, Wilkes County native who retired to Danburg, will be pianist for the show. Reservations may be made by calling the Little Theater reservations line, 706-678-9582. The annual Gala will be held at the Fitzpatrick Hotel Ballroom at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 6. The cost is $7.00. Tickets may be purchased by sending a check made out to WLTCo. to Jo Randall, P.O. Box 402, Washington, GA 30673. Tickets will be mailed. Deadline for purchasing tickets for the Gala is September 24.
