Lauren Leverett entertained at bridal shower on September 16 Lauren Leverett, bride-elect of Sid Robb, was entertained at a miscellaneous shower on Sunday afternoon, September 16, at the Taliaferro House in Eatonton. Hostesses for the occasion were Nancy Marshall, Missy Marshall, Sheila Layson, Evie Hill, Delois Brown, Tamelia Swyner and Lindsey Chamberlain, all of Eatonton. Miss Leverett chose a strapless knee-length sundress in turquoise, brown, fuchsia and lime green finished with a brown sash. She was presented a corsage of bright pink sweetheart roses. As guests arrived, they were invited to register in the bride's book placed on a table covered in white lace and decorated with an arrangement of summer flowers. Also on the table was the couple's framed engagement picture. A beautiful bouquet of summer flowers centered the dining table also covered in white lace. From the table guests enjoyed cheese straws, fresh fruit and dip, brownies, cheesecake bars, ham and cream cheese wraps and punch. The hostesses presented the bride-elect a vacuum cleaner and cookbook. Miss Leverett presented her hostesses homemade soy candles.
Twenty-fiveguests attended. Special guests included her mother, Janice Leverett, and grandmother, Betty Culberson, both of Eatonton; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Jane Robb of Washington, and sister, Gretchen Lamar of Tignall; and a bridal attendant, Morgan McAvoy Echols of Washington.
