Kettle Creek DAR hears program on 'George Washington's Will'

Linda Cunningham Rhame of Atlanta was guest speaker at the meeting of the Kettle Creek Chapter National Daughters of the American Revolution on Monday, September 17, at the Woman's Club.

C. Carol Cartledge introduced Mrs. Rhame, a member of the Cherokee Chapter, NSDAR, and State Chairman for the DAR Speaker's Staff.

"George Washington's Will" was the topic of Mrs. Rhame's presentation. She brought with her various books, postcards, pictures, plates, glasses and other Washington memorabilia for members to view.

Prior to her presentation, Joanne Pollock, regent, presided.

Betty Slaton read the President General's message and Rhonda Keen, the National Defense Message. Nancy Sisson reported on Constitution Week. The Indian Minute was given by Jane Roberson.

Carol Faz and Joe Harris spoke on the progress of the Kettle Creek Battleground Committee.

Other business was conducted and projects discussed.

Hostesses were Oleta McAvoy, chairman; Lillie Crowe, Jane Roberson, Julaine Roberson and Nita Riley.
