Will Guin takes 3rd place in his first national karting race

Nine-year-old Will Guin placed third in his first-ever World Karting Association Nationals Race in Dexter.
Will Guin of Tignall participated in a World Karting Association Nationals event held in Dexter on September 15-16.

This two-day event had karters from all over the United States and Will competed with karters from New York, Tennessee, and Ohio, as well as others.

The event started on Saturday with Will qualifying seventh out of the field of 21. The race began and he moved to the front of the pack quickly and took the lead. With a few laps to go, he was passed for the lead and drifted back to seventh where he finished the race in the Junior Sportsman Light Division.

On Sunday, Will qualified tenth in a field of 20. The 20-lap race was a long battle but Will was able to hold on to a third place finish in Junior Sportsman I Heavy Division.

Will is the nine-year-old son of Bryan and Kathy Guin of Tignall.
