Chapman receives Purple Heart
Jonathan Chapman (right) receives his Purple Heart medal honoring him for injuries sustained in combat. Chapman was shot by a sniper during combat in Iraq in December 2006. The award was presented on September 19. He is the son of Pastor and Mrs. Jimmy Chapman of Washington-Wilkes.
