Aonia News Fall is here. I'm so glad. I love fall. The cool crisp mornings are wonderful and the nights are too. Enjoy your fall and let's keep praying for rain. I was in town the other day (last Thursday) and it poured down, but we did not get much here in Aonia.
Ebenezer Baptist Church had homecoming Sunday and we were blessed. There was a huge crowd. The church was full. Our special guests were Rev. and Mrs. John Harris of Alabama. He was our guest minister. His sermon was "Finding Joy As a Christian," and it was a good message. Rev. Harris was raised in Elbenezer and ordained here. Dr. Ed Grisham of Thomson, friend of Dr. Leonard DuPree, was our guest in music. He led the singing and sang a special, "Three Nails and Two Boards," written by a Georgia native. We were glad to have him and his wife Linda with us.
