We had a nice day at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. After worship services everyone enjoyed the covered dish meal and the fellowship.

Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the Georgia Baptist Association Senior Adult Rally held at Lincolnton Baptist Church Monday afternoon. Rev. and Mrs. Jerry Wilson of Augusta were the entertainers. He was very good and kept everyone laughing. Mrs. Wilson sang a beautiful song. Following the program, sandwiches and desserts were enjoyed.

Mrs. Lucy Nell Gill of Lavonia and Vernon Hopkins visited Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer Tuesday afternoon.

There was a full house attending the Miss Wilkes County beauty pageant Saturday night in the newlyremodeled Pope Center. It was a very enjoyable program with all the pretty girls in their pretty dresses, and it was good to see the new addition to the Pope Center.

Mrs. Bill Scoggins, Hannah and Stephanie of Augusta visited Mrs. Evans Davis last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smith Friday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance and Mrs. Iris Dyson attended the adult fellowship activity time at the First Baptist Church Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited Mrs. Cheryle Holsclaw Sunday afternoon.

Elizabeth Barber of Athens visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance, Sunday afternoon.

Wednesday, September 26, was our fifteenth wedding anniversary. Neither James nor I felt very good that day so we just had a quiet day at home. We appreciate the calls and cards we received from family and friends.

Sara Wheatley of Metasville called to tell me that her brother, Roy Hopkins, spent a week with her and family. He has lived in San Diego for many years but he makes a yearly trip "back home." He enjoyed seeing family members who visited during his stay. They grew up in Lundberg so he and Sara enjoyed driving around the community. There have been many changes over the years and nothing looks like it did when we were growing up in Lundberg.
