Lauren Leverett and Sid Robb honored at couple's shower

Lauren Leverett and Sid Robb, whose wedding will be October 20, were honored at a Couple's Lawn and Garden Shower Saturday evening, September 29, given by Morgan and Tim Echols, Nonie and John Youchim, and Michelle and David McAvoy at the McAvoy home.

The bride-elect chose a casual ensemble of jeans and a tan top worn over a brown tank. She was presented a corsage of fall flowers arranged in a miniature watering can.

Guests enjoyed a perfect evening as they gathered on the lawn for the outdoor festivities. Tables featured alternating designs of orange cloths with center brown toppers and brown cloths with the orange toppers. Fall flowers, candles and ornamental pumpkins completed the tables.

Guests dined on barbecued chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, rolls, water and tea. Desserts included chocolate, strawberry and Italian créme cakes.

The hosts presented the couple a portable grill.

Thirty guests attended and included the bride-elect's mother, Janice Leverett of Eatonton, and the prospective bridegroom's parents, Jane and Phil Robb of Washington, and sister and family, Gretchen, Bruce and Alex Lamar of Tignall
