Beth Lamar guest of honor at baby shower

Beth Lamar was honored at a baby shower on Thursday afternoon, September 20, at Grovetown Elementary School in Grovetown hosted by her kindergarten co-workers.

In honor of the occasion Mrs. Lamar was presented a corsage that was a baby rattle teething toy. She was also presented a sash to wear that read "mother-to-be".

As guests were welcomed into the media center, they were invited to sign the baby's book.

Blues, greens, pinks and yellows were used in decorating. The tables, covered in yellow, all held centerpieces of gifts and ribbons wrapped especially for baby.

Guests were invited to indulge in a delicious assortment of refreshments that included sausage balls, spinach dip, vegetable trays, nuts, mints, cookies, punch and cake.

The hostesses presented the expectant mother an Evenflo Baby Suite Pack-N-Play.

About 70 guests were invited. Special guests included the expectant grandmothers, Claunette Morgan and Kathie Lamar, and greatgrandmothers, Sara Wheatley and Betty Stephens, all of Washington.
