True Light Church will have its Missionary Anniversary celebration Sunday, October 21, at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Pastor Marie Jones of The Move of God Church in Rayle.

The Reeves Chapel Baptist Church will have its annual men and women's day Sunday, October 21, 11:45 a.m.

The Lincolnton First Baptist youth ministry will have an anniversary celebration for Rev. Dennis Quinn October 29, November 2, 7:30 p.m. There will be different speakers each night.

Be the l Unde r the Blood Deliverance Church of the Living God, Lincolnton, will have a two-night Holy Ghost filled revival October 20, 21, 7 p.m., 7 p.m., at the 309A Spring Street. Evangelist Janice Bynun will be the speaker.

Mt. Carmel Baptist Church will present its annual Youth Day Service Sunday, October 21, 2:30 p.m. Rev. Demetrius Porter will be the guest speaker.

Tabor Baptist Church, 1319 Delhi Road, will have homecoming Sunday, October 14, 10:30 a.m. Revival services will be held October 14-17, 7 p.m., with a different speaker each evening.

The First United Methodist Men's Group will have barbecued chicken dinners for sale on October 27, 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., in the fellowship hall of the church. Cost is $6 per plate. Dine-in or takeout.

The Diabetic Support Group will meet in the Wills Memorial Hospital Library Thursday, October 11, 2 p.m. The topic for discussion will be diabetic nerve pain and nerve disorder. Reservations for the October meeting may be made by calling 706-678-9368 and leaving name and phone number.

The Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department Youth Basketball 2007 is accepting applications from boys and girls ages six through 14 years old. Sign up early to avoid the November 13 deadline.

Brinkley Chapel Baptist Church will honor Rev. W.R. Ferrell and Alma Ferrell at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 14. Winston Oliphant of Johnston, S.C., and the Rosa Spring and Bethany Baptist Church will be in charge of this occasion.

New Ford Baptist Church Youth Department will have a musical worship program Saturday, October 13, 6 p.m. All youth departments are invited to come and help make the program a success.

New Saints CME Church, 515 Baltimore Road, Washington, will hold this month's SNAP meetings on Saturday, October 20 and 27, 12 p.m. Members and those who would like to join the group are urged to attend.

ƒ New Saints CME Church, Washington, will have revival services beginning Tuesday, October 23, and ending Thursday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Charles E. Henderson, pastor, will bring the message each night.

The New Springhill Baptist Church in Philomath will have a Walk for Christ four-mile and one-mile un run on Saturday, October 20, 8 a.m. The church will also be sponsoring a health fair and giving awards and goodies. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, will celebrate the 19th anniversary of Pastor J.E. McIver on Sunday, October 21, at 11:30 a.m. The sermon will be by Rev. G.L. Walton, and music by Rev. Walton and Company.

The Liberty Street Playground and Park will be closed to the public beginning October 10 for approximately four weeks for construction and repair of playground equipment.

New Salem Baptist Church in Tyrone will have a Family and Friends Day Service Sunday, October 21, at 3 p.m. The message will be brought by Minister Emanuel Rainey of Atlanta. The Gospel Wonders will present special music. Dinner will be served prior to the service.

Judge Wade Padgett of Columbia County will present his seminar called "Teenage Years 101" Monday and Tuesday, November 5-6, 7 p.m., at the Washington- Wilkes Comprehensive High School Cafeteria. There is no charge for the seminar. The appropriate ages are 13-19 years old.
