TO THE EDITOR:

I would like to thank everyone who was involved in helping with the Miss Wilkes County Pageant 2007.

I especially would like to thank my Mom for curling my hair and giving me support. I love you, Mom. You're the best!

I'd also like to thank Mr. Joey Fievet of Fievet Pharmacy Inc. for sponsoring me in the Miss Wilkes County Pageant; and last, but not least, I'd like to thank the Washington Dance Academy Dance Team for supporting me. Without ya'll I wouldn't have had grace and poise on stage.

This is such a fun and great opportunity for young ladies in Washington-Wilkes. Although I was first runner-up in the Miss 16-18 category and cannot compete again in the Miss Wilkes County Pageant, I had a blast! Bradley Barber made me feel like a queen.

I want to encourage every young lady in Washington-Wilkes to participate in the Miss Wilkes County Pageant for years to come. Although only one girl can earn the title in each category, it's all about being your best and having fun.

Congratulations to each young lady who won the titles and their families. Thanks Ashley and the Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce for bringing the pageant back. I had a fabulous time.
