Mrs. Drew Lamar entertained at baby shower September 30 Mrs. Drew Lamar of Grovetown was entertained at a baby shower on Sunday, September 30, at the home of Mrs. Herman Wheatley, given by Mrs. Wheatley and her daughter, Amy. In honor of the occasion Mrs. Lamar, the former Beth Morgan, was presented a corsage of baby socks. A Noah's Ark theme was used in decorating throughout the party area with balloons, favors, napkins and a special centerpiece for the table which featured a Noah's Ark atop a base of greenery adorned with yellow and white daisies, statice, miniature carnations and gypsophila. From the table guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods and punch. Gifts for the baby-to-be were placed on the hearth that had been covered with a handmade quilt that belonged to Drew Lamar and made by his great-grandmother, the late Mrs. Otis Myers. The hostesses presented Mrs. Lamar a Vera Bradley diaper bag. Twenty-fiveguests were invited. Special guests included prospective grandmothers, Mrs. Perry Morgan and Mrs. Ben Lamar, and great-grandmothers, Mrs. George Wheatley and Mrs. Guy Stephens, all of Washington-Wilkes.
All who attended registered in the Noah's Ark Shower Keepsake book.
