Mrs. Gordon Hendry of Braselton was honored at a baby shower at The Ark of First Baptist Church in Washington on Sunday afternoon, September 23. Hostesses were Mrs. Hendry's sister, Lynsey Walters, and aunt, Mrs. Dawn Matthews of Washington.

As guests entered The Ark, they were greeted by the hostesses who stood beside a pink stork draped in pink tulle netting.

The gift table was covered in a pink cloth and a pink shimmer overlay with a pink Bible and Cross centerpiece along with a gold framed baby shower invitation.

The refreshment table was also decorated in pink with a pink shimmer overlay and centered with three framed pictures. The center picture was of the prospective parents on their wedding The other two featured each prospective parent in his or her infancy.

Cake squares were served on a tiered crystal platter along with nuts, mints, fresh vegetables, sautéed wieners and punch.

Guests were seated at tables that held centerpieces of fresh cut pink roses, gypsophila, mixed greenery, and attached pink balloons that stated "It's a Girl" that also floated all along the ceiling with ribbon streamers.

A large banner that proclaimed "It's a Girl" was hung on the center wall and guests signed a guest book where they also wrote down notes to the mother-to-be and baby.
