Frances Wheelis WOM group meets at Pope home Oct. 1

The Frances Wheelis Women on Mission of the First Baptist Church met in the home of Susan Pope on Spring Street Monday evening, October 1.

Melanie Wells presided and opened the meeting with a devotional followed by an opening prayer by Mrs. Pope.

Following the business meeting and mission action plans, Cheryl Edwards presented a most interesting and inspiring program from "Mosaic" entitled "The Least of These" which told of the ministry, CUB, Church Under the Bridge.

Teresa Bishop led the missionary prayer calendar focusing on Northern Africa and the Middle East. After names of missionaries and those with special needs were given, Mrs. Bishop closed in prayer.

Co-hostess, Louise McClearen, served delicious refreshments during a time of fellowship.

Present with Mrs. Pope and Mrs. McClearen were Teresa Bishop, Cheryl Edwards, Evelyn George, Pat Grimaud, Rosemary Hopkins, Sue Lance, Nancy Madden, Kay Nelms, Julia Palmer, Elizabeth Pope, and Melanie Wells.
