Ethel Hill honored at 75th birthday celebration Sept. 15 Ethel Hill of Washington was honored on her 75th birthday at a cookout at her home on September 15 given by her children, Shirley Walker of Augusta, John Lee Hill, Debra Elam and Dianne Hill of Washington. Her birthday was September 13. Mrs. Hill was treated to a special birthday dinner that included ribs, chicken, barbecue, pasta salad, potato salad, baked beans, green beans, deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, Cokes and cake. For her party Mrs. Hill and her children were joined by grandchildren, Shelton Walker of Augusta, Cherrie Davis, Darion Davis, Arkayla Merriweather and Quatavious Davis of Washington; sister, Pecola Chapman of Rayle; brother, Joe Cade of Tignall; nieces, Vickie Wilburn, Sandra Hampton, Judy Wilburn, and Rose Coleman of Washington and Carolyn Wilburn of Elberton; nephews, Tony Chapman of Rayle, Gene Chapman and George Wilburn of Tignall. Also attending were Thomas Elam, Darlene Hill, Patrick Quinn, Johnny Hampton, Buddy Dye, Frankie Dye, Russell Chapman, Ameesha Coleman, Justin Garnett, Robert Watts and Anita Starks of Washington, Ernestine Williams, Carey Hawes, Pam Mays and Lawrence Chapman of Tignall, and Jennifer Young of Rayle.
Son, Charles Hill of Columbia, S. C., was unable to attend the celebration but called his mother with special birthday wishes.
