Tigers strike first but take region loss to Morgan

      Last Friday night the Washington- Wilkes Tigers lost their first region game of the year 31-12 to the Morgan County Bulldogs. The loss dropped the Tigers' overall record to 2-4. It also moved Washington down to third in the 8AA South sub-region behind Greene County and Morgan County.

Lady Tigers finish 4th in sub-region, now competing in 8AA tournament
      The Washington-Wilkes Lady Tigers softball team finished its regular season with a loss but a strong showing against the #2-ranked North Oconee Titans. The team entered the Region 8AA playoffs on Tuesday, Octrober 9, but results were not known as of this writing.
