Public forum set for city candidates on Monday night at 7

With an important city election just ahead, local pastors are urging people to get involved and to come out and hear from the candidates in the upcoming November 6 election.

To that end, all the candidates for Washington mayor and city council in Washington have been invited to speak to a public forum Monday night.

Sponsored by the CSRA Ministerial Alliance, the candidate's forum is set for Monday, October 29, at 7 p.m. at the Third Shiloh Center, 219 McLendon Drive, in Washington.

Both candidates in the Washington mayor's race and six candidates in city council races have been invited to attend and discuss their platforms with members of the public who attend the forum Monday night. For further information, contact Reverends G. L. Avery, Dennis Quinn, or Albert Rucker, Jr.
