Alzheimers group holds symposium
Dr. Mahesh Duggal of MedLink Washington speaks to a symposium last week at Mary Willis Library on "Dementia Training for Family Caregivers," hosted by the Alzheimer Association of Augusta. Kathy Tuckey, program director, gave an overview of the disease, behaviors, and care strategies; and Georgia Jopling of the Area Agency on Aging spoke on community resources available. An Alzheimer Support Group meets in Washington the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
