District 2 voters will pick their 2 choices from 4 candidates

On Tuesday, voters in Washington's District 2 get to do something that's a little unusual - they get to vote for their favorite two candidates out of the four running.

In Washington city elections, candidates run in one of two districts, with three councilmen elected from each district. In this year's election for District 2, four candidates are running for two seats. Ames Barnett, Fulani Doughty, Ed Franklin, and Councilman Edward B. Pope Jr., are running for two seats, and the two candidates who get the most votes get the two seats.

Again, each District 2 voter can vote for two of the four candidates.
