It seems like when the weather starts getting cooler that folks like to get together for a soup and sandwich supper at church. So this Saturday, November 3, members and friends are invited to Clifford's Grove Baptist Church. Come around fiveo'clock and bring a pot of your favorite soup. .Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer went to Brown Funeral Home in Danielsville Monday evening for visitation time for Mrs. Dot Seagraves who passed away Saturday night. She was a classmate of James at Comer High School their senior year in 1940. She was a good friend and we visited her recently at her home in Danielsville. .Monday evening we went to Lord and Stevens Funeral Home in Danielsville to visit with the family of Becky Parham. She was the daughter of Mrs. Betty Sue Drake of Carlton.
.Mrs. Evans Davis spent the day Tuesday with her daughter, Faye Scoggins in Augusta. .Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the 223rd annual fall meeting of the Georgia Baptist Association held at County Line Baptist Church Tuesday. .Willard Lance attended the meeting of the Georgia Baptist Association at County Line Baptist Church. .Eddie Sorrells of Snellville, who comes to deer hunt, spent two nights during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty. .Mrs. Evans Davis visited Mrs. Virginia Witcraft in Raytown Friday afternoon. .Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer and Willard Lance attended the Gideons meeting and supper at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center Thursday night. The guest speaker was Larry Dillard of Danielsville. He told about his trip with other Gideons to Zambia, a very poor nation in the third world countries. They gave out many Bibles to school children and others. They were so happy and thankful to receive them. .Mrs. Juanita Bradford, Mrs. John Sutherland and Brad spent time at the Jockey Lot in Anderson Saturday, then had lunch at Ryan's. .Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blaine of Dahlonega spent the weekend here. They visited Sue Davis Saturday afternoon. .Mrs. Iris Dyson attended the birthday party for Mrs. Norma Alice Wallace at her home Saturday afternoon. .Maedell Huff and Samille Sherrer went to Greenwood Saturday to see Elizabeth Huff at Wesley Commons Health Center. Her son, John Fradella, and his wife Dianne joined us and we all went to Ryan's for lunch, which is Elizabeth's favorite place to eat.
Whitney and Charlie Branham went with members of Tignall Baptist Church Friday to the North Georgia Corn Maze festival in Cleveland. .Whitney Branham joined the youth group of Tignall Baptist Church and enjoyed a cookout and hayride at Mr. Standard's log cabin Sunday night.
