Love Bugs
They call them love bugs not because of reproductive reasons, but because they pair up together and hang with each other. They hold on for dear life and are hard to separate. I've never tried it but often thought that if you did separate them they would probably die. You know, folks are supposed to be like love bugs -- pair up in marriage and hold on for dear life, through thick and thin. We've always heard that when the going gets tough, then the tough get going, meaning they get to working on the problem and start getting the job done, but I like to say that when the going gets tough, then the tough hang in there. Like the love bugs they are inseparable and when one dies it's like my mother died after 61 years of marriage and it like you had cut off a part of my daddy's body. Nowadays they separate at the drop of your hat if they were ever even hitched and so many are hardly ever together, They are supposed to be as one like the love bugs, but they go their separate ways and only occasionally meet in the middle. It has gotten so bad that television networks started promoting the family table day because no one is hardly ever together like folks were years ago. Prosperity and collecting stuff has done that to many folks as well as society's overall attitude. As morals go so goes the family, but folks I can tell you that there's one we can depend on to stay with us like the two love bugs and that is Jesus. He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us and would go with us even until the end of the world. Forever! He'll stick with us like white on rice or the love bugs.
Hook on to Jesus! Won't you? Amen and amen!
