Linda Guinn honored at 65th birthday celebration on Oct. 27

Linda Guinn was honored on her 65th birthday at a surprise celebration at her home on Saturday afternoon, October 27. Her birthday was October 31.

Gene Reid was host for the event and was assisted by Bobby and Connie Danner.

The celebration was held outside on the deck and covered patio that were festively decorated in a fall theme.

Tables were covered with yellow cloths. The buffet was decorated with bronze potted chrysanthemums and tables for guests' seating were centered with kerosene lamps surrounded with fall leaves.

Mr. Reid welcomed guests and Mrs. Guinn's brother, Pierce Ashmore of Gainesville, offered the blessing prior to the dinner.

Guests enjoyed a bountiful buffet that included grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, chili, potato salad, relishes, chips and dips and other accompaniments. Dessert included Mrs. Guinn's birthday cake which was topped with the numeral "65," ice cream, fudge, and a glazed pound cake.

More than 40 guests attended.
