Cross Country Tigers finish regular season, prepare for region
On Saturday, October 27, the Washington Wilkes Tiger Cross Country team traveled to Oglethorpe County to compete against runners from Rabun County, East Jackson, Oglethorpe County, and Banks County schools in the last meet before the region meet next week. Seventy varsity boys ran the 3.1 mile course with Ian Coe placing first with a time of 18:17. Tyler Stasyshyn ran a 21:38 course; Chase Shelton, 22:47; Evan Harrison, 22:54; and John Pope, 23:47. The Tiger girls competed against 32 other runners with Dixie Lee Trimm placing eighth with a time of 24:48. Angel Broome finished in 30:58 and Sanquala Gresham ran 35:21.

The region cross country meet

Oglethorpe County High School will be held this Saturday, November 3. The W-W Tigers will compete against runners from ten other teams including Rabun County,Oglethore County, Putnam County, Union County, Banks County, Dawson County, East Jackson, Fannin County, Morgan County, and North Oconee.
